The Betsy Ross House is located at 239 Arch Street. The house was built 250 years ago. This type of house is known as a bandbox or trinity style house. Each level has one room with small winding staircases. Betsy Ross is said to of lived here from 1776 to 1779. This is when she would have made the first flag. She rented the shop as an upholsterer and a room in the upper level to live in. The house has been beautifully restored and there are re-enactors to talk to. They have a nice gift shop and area to get a drink and a small bite to eat outside. Tickets range from $7 to $8. They also have an audio tour if you would like.
