If you want to see BIG earth moving vehicles this is the place for you. Falkirk Mining is home to some of the largest earth-moving equipment. They move 8 million tons of lignite coal daily. As I toured the facility and the surrounding area, I was blown away by how they can put the ground back to the original state before they started mining it. The tour really opened my eyes to how environmentally friendly mining can be when done correctly. This was a great tour and education experience.
