The Birthplace of the Star-Spangled Banner. Such a great place to learn about our nation’s history. “The Defense of Fort McHenry” was written by a Lawyer named Francis Scott Key. Of course, we now call it our National Anthem.
The Fort was completed in 1803 and remained an active fort until 1925. There is a lot of history here. Great interpretive guides to help tell the story.
