Still one of the most memorable trips we have taken was to Hot Springs Arkansas. After touring the Quapaw Bathhouse, we decided to indulge ourselves in a spa treatment. Bathhouse Row as it is called was created between 1892 and 1923. Quapaw was built in 1922 and at the time we were there was the only bathhouse still in operation. Today several bathhouses have been modernized and are operational. As you can see from these pictures this would have been quite a luxury in 1922. I am looking forward to going back and seeing all the changes and get another spa treatment.
Today the National Parks Service maintains the grounds around the spas.
