Just outside of Akin South Carolina is this fantastic water park. Great place to spend a hot day. Complete with slides, diving boards, and a great sand beach. Bring your own food or get something yummy from their concession stand. They do not allow coolers in the lake area. However, they have wonderfully covered picnic areas to eat at complete with grills. There is a daily rental if you want to reserve it for the day. My niece and I just ate our picnic lunch under an area that did not need to be reserved. This is an Alcohol-Free property. Family Friendly. They did have lifeguards on duty. Volleyball and game room is available also.
